What is your motivation?
When you are mid work out, your pulse is racing, sweat is dripping and your arms and legs feel like noodles – where do you draw your inner-strength?
I met an awesome woman Laura S. who came in for an intro to the Women Only program. Laura was an athlete in high school and has always been physically active. Over 5 years ago, however, she was in a car accident that left her seeing a chiropractor twice a week for the rest of her life. Most people would find this as a good excuse to stay sedentary, but Laura has found inspiration in someone who has pushed her to celebrate her life and achieve major goals.
This person is Maddie. Maddie is Laura’s beautiful 4 year-old niece who is battling a tough fight with Leukemia. Maddie, who had been in a coma for 17 weeks entered last year’s Light The Night event… and WALKED across the finish line. Laura says, “If she can do that, we, who are healthy, can do anything! Maddie is my inspiration, my motivation, my saving “Grace” (her middle name)….she’s amazing!”
